New York City is a bike shop city, and one of its newest bike shops is sharing the spotlight with the next generation of the city’s bicycle industry.
On Monday, BikeShare announced it would open its first shop in Manhattan, at the corner of Seventh Avenue and Seventh Street.
The store will serve as the hub for the citys first bike sharing network.
In an interview with The Atlantic, Bike Share founder, Josh Gans, said the new shop was a response to the city s bike share system and to the need for bike shops in the city.
“There is no other city in the world that has as much opportunity to be a hub for bike sharing as New York,” Gans said.
Gans told The Atlantic that he was inspired to launch BikeShare after reading a New York Times article about bike sharing in New York. “
People want to go for a ride, and the bikes are not available at their homes.”

“If we are going to have a shared economy, we need a place where people can buy, and sell, and rent bikes and other things. “
The idea of a bike share hub is so important,” he continued.
“And when they do, they’re not necessarily coming because they’re hungry, they just want to shop. “
They just want something that they can shop in and not feel like they’re in a city where there is no place to shop.” “

The bike shop is slated to open in mid-February, with a location expected to open at some point in the summer.
The launch comes as the New York Department of Transportation is looking to expand bike sharing to the East River in a bid to boost economic development.
New York’s Bicycle Share Program (BSP) is a pilot program that connects residents to a network of bike share stations across the city, providing a platform for residents to access a range of bicycle-related services.
As part of the program, residents can purchase and rent bicycles for up to $5 per month.
Currently, BSP bikes are sold in a number of locations in the Manhattan boroughs, Brooklyn, Staten Island, and Queens.
The New York State Department of transportation, which is also participating in the program to expand the network, has yet to announce the locations for the new bike shop.
BikeShare was founded in 2005 and currently operates in seven cities, including Brooklyn, New York, and Staten Island.
The company has partnered with more than 200 organizations to offer bike sharing across New York and across the country.
As the bike sharing industry continues to expand, it has become increasingly popular to share the joy of biking, with bike sharing gaining more traction in recent years.
In January, the city announced a plan to expand its bike share network to include Staten Island by 2020, and by 2020 the city plans to open its bike sharing stations to the public.
As BikeShare expands its network, the company plans to hire additional staff to expand their services and improve their customer experience.
Gans says he is looking forward to partnering with New Yorkers in the future to expand BSP to other parts of the country, as well.
“We think the future is going to be more bicycle-friendly than ever before,” he said.
