In some states, ski resorts have been closed because of safety concerns.
Here’s a look at the five resorts that have still reopened.
Pinnacle Point, North Carolina Pinnacle has been closed since January because of a new air quality rule that requires all skis to be air-cleaned.
But the resort says it is “working closely” with the state Department of Environmental Quality and has already secured $4 million in funds to upgrade its air quality monitoring equipment.
Snowbird, Colorado The resort has reopened.
It reopened in March.
Biscayne Bay Resort, Florida Biscay Bay Resort has reopened in Miami Beach after being closed since March.
It was previously closed due to a virus outbreak.
Lake Okeechobee, Florida The resort reopened on April 10.
The Blue Ridge, Virginia The lake has reopened at The Lodge.
Blue Ridge Ski Resort, North Dakota The lodge has reopened after the resort shut down due to high snowfall in April.
PCT Snowboard, New Hampshire The mountain is back at the hotel.
Skiing at Mount Katahdin, Maine The Mount Kataharin Resort reopened after being shut down in April because of high snow.
Ski at Mount Rainier, Washington The summit is open at the new Mount Rainiers ski resort.
Bali Ski Resort and Spa, Indonesia The spa reopened after a year of closure due to an Ebola outbreak.
Horseshoe Creek Ski Resort & Spa, Washington State The resorts reopened after two years of closure.
Snowbowl Resort, Wyoming The ski resort reopened after six years of closures due to the Zika outbreak.
Lake Tahoe, California The snow is finally falling.
Mount St. Helens, Washington The mountain reopened after eight years of shutdown due to severe snowfall.
