A ‘sugar ski jumpsuits’ have been banned from the slopes at Sugar Mountain in Victoria because of concerns over their potential for injury.

It is also known for the “Sugar Beach” area, which is popular with skiers who jump from its snow-covered slopes.
“It’s a very popular spot for people to hang out in,” Sugar Mountain manager Dave Liddell said.
“They like to hang on to the jumpers and we like to give them a safe place to do it.”
The department’s Health Officer, Dr Andrew Krieger, said the jump was “not safe for people with physical or mental health conditions”.
“People should only be in the area for a short period of time,” he said.
